We organize Job shadowing activities in the beautiful Mediterranean city of Split where our extensive network of schools is ready to welcome you and share some of their most efficient practices.

Our second location is the capital of Croatia, Zagreb. This central European dynamic and lively city has to showcase some of the best examples of Croatian education system.

Most importantly, you get to visit a different school every day gaining valuable experience and insight into their work. During our job shadowing course, you are going to get a chance to talk to school principals, teachers, psychologists, and see how they use their tools and techniques in practice. Exchange ideas and learn how they deal with challenges such as inclusion, diverse students’ needs, absenteeism, assessment, digital tools and outdoor learning.

Our extensive network of schools includes kindergartens, primary and secondary schools as well as several faculties and organisations specializing in adult education

What is job shadowing within Erasmus+ programme?

Job shadowing is a type of activity that is supported by Erasmus+ funds. It can last from 2-60 days. During this time the participants of this mobility spend a period of time at a hosting organisation in another country learning about their education system, examples of best practice, observing lessons, discovering new tools and methodologies. They get to interact with their peers and learn about their daily work. Croatians are 11th best non-native English speakers in the world, Zagreb is 3rd best city according to 2023 EF global test results.

Croatian education system took a huge turn some years ago when it went through “School for life” curricular reform. Our students win prizes at world competitions and we’re proud to say that we have their teachers in our team! Every year Croatian Ministry of Education awards best 500 teachers and our teacher trainers are frequently among them. So come and learn from the best!

Daily rates and budget for international staff mobility

When it comes to the budget received by each participant it is best to consult the latest Erasmus+ Programme Guide and be sure the version you are checking is the last one published. The programme guide gets updated regularly, so be careful not to consult an older version. If you are still not sure about the exact funding rules, please contact your National Agency.

Platform21 organizes the entire job shadowing activity in Croatia for you. Daily rates for your staff mobility per participant per day:

  • 3 days – 70 €
  • 4 days – 65 €
  • 5 days – 60 €

Specifics

Certificate : To obtain the Certificate of Attendance at the end of the course, participants must attend at least 80 % of the classes.
Schedule : During the week, classes take place either in the morning or in the afternoon depending on the trainers’ availability. The final schedule is provided no later than 2 weeks prior to the participants’ arrival. The course provider may make minor last minute changes to the schedule if the situation requires it.
Cultural activities : A guided walking tour is a part of each course. Upon arrival participants receive a brochure with a list of activities and places to see at each course location.
Equipment : Participants may be required to bring their own laptop or a tablet, depending on the course.
Organisation Fee : Daily rates for your staff mobility per participant per day:
• 3 days – 70 € per participant per day
• 4 days – 65 € per participant per day
• 5 days – 60 € per participant per day
