Innovative methods for Foreign Language Teaching

Reykjavik and 2 more
One-week course

Innovative methods, effective strategies, and activities for foreign language teachers in the classroom.

Description

This course was designed to make foreign language teachers’ lives easier. It is going to offer a fresh, innovative approach to teaching foreign languages, how to engage all students and enhance their learning experience and developing all language skills.

We will be exploring effective strategies for foreign language teaching and learning. The course focuses on developing deep understanding of how to teach using task-based approach as well as project-based learning.

Artificial Intelligence in education is no longer part of the future, it is our present. The course will provide the participants with the necessary knowledge to fully understand and make the best use of AI tools. This will enable the participants to prepare their lessons faster than ever, get new ideas and make their classrooms more interesting and interactive. Our students are already using AI, so it is important to guide them through the process of doing it efficiently.

Multidisciplinary approach of the course integrates ways to develop creativity, how to dive into the local culture, and use storytelling as a fun tool to teach and learn a foreign language. Your students are going to enjoy the new lessons more than ever.

All participants are going to receive a set of tailor-made materials created by Platform 21 teacher trainers to use during and after the course. All the skills, strategies, methods, and tools acquired during the course will be useful for years.
