Arts and Wellbeing
Teacher wellbeing is the practice of protecting a teacher’s own mental and emotional health so they can sustain the work: managing stress and preventing burnout, building emotional intelligence and resilience, and using mindfulness and creative activity to keep both the classroom and the staffroom a place people want to be.
Our Arts and wellbeing courses for teachers are designed to support teacher wellbeing and provide useful tools and strategies to improve mental health. Through a series of calming and relaxing workshops, most of which take place outdoors, educators learn how to deal with stress and create a positive classroom atmosphere.
Teachers will learn how to develop emotional intelligence and explore the benefits of mindfulness for teachers and students.
We also cover how the arts and forms of artistic expression, such as drawing, music and drama-based activities, can be integrated into classrooms as a powerful tool for creating an inclusive and supportive school environment.
