Cross-curricular
Cross-curricular teaching is the practice of connecting two or more school subjects around a shared theme, question or project, so that students apply knowledge and skills from different disciplines to real-world problems. Our cross-curricular courses for teachers explore how to connect subjects such as maths, science, history and art within a single lesson, project or unit.
The Platform21 methodology combines this interdisciplinary approach to education with experiential learning, helping teachers design activities that connect classroom knowledge with real-world situations.
Participants learn to create a student-centred classroom where learners investigate questions, apply ideas across subjects and work together on practical tasks. The courses focus on cross-curricular instruction designed to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity and collaboration through active participation and reflection.
