School Visits

In Erasmus+ teacher training, a school visit is a structured visit to a host school during a course, in which participants observe lessons, meet local teachers and learn how the host country’s education system works.

Three of our courses include a visit to a local school in Croatia. Participants step into real classrooms, talk with Croatian colleagues and compare their own school system with the Croatian one.

In Outdoor Education, participants visit a school that uses its botanical garden and olive grove as learning spaces, where students take care of the grounds themselves. In Innovative Methods for Foreign Language Teaching and Classroom Management, Croatian teachers welcome participants into their lessons and discuss the similarities and differences between their schools. In the seven-day programme, the visit takes place on day six, so participants see in a real school the approaches they have practised during the week.

Teachers who want to spend more time in a school can take part in job shadowing, a separate Erasmus+ activity in which they work alongside colleagues at a partner school for several days. We organise job shadowing through our network of schools, matching each participant with a school that fits their project goals and the age group they teach.

School visits and job shadowing help teachers discover new approaches, build professional connections and meet potential partners for future Erasmus+ projects, often leading to lasting collaboration between schools.

All three courses are eligible for Erasmus+ KA1 funding and run in Split. Choose a course below to see its upcoming dates.
